About Me

My name is Callie. I earned my doctorate in philosophy from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2019. After a foray into non-academic employment, I've returned to teaching and research since 2023. My primary research focus at the moment is color perception and the metaphysics of color. I'm interested in vision and perception in general, along with ethics, language, early modern philosophy, and the history of analytic philosophy.

When I'm not reading, writing, or thinking about philosophy, I dabble in programming, cooking, and getting outside. I enjoy spending time with my partner and my dog, an elderly chihuahua-Welsh corgi mix named Ruth. I've had her since I was still doing graduate coursework.

Look around for more information on my current and future publications, past and present courses, or some academically interesting programming projects I've got in the pipeline. If you'd like to contact me, feel free to reach me at philosophy@calliemcgrath.space.
